Green gram rice - pacha paiyuru satham - one pot recipe -- kids lunch

When you are really hungry... You want to make a really quick lunch... That too one pot recipe...

Here you have it...

Quick, easy + healthy...

This variety rice is very healthy for kids...
Green gram are really heathy & the taste is also outstanding..

Ingredients :

. 1 & 1/2 cup rice
. 1/2 cup green gram
. 1 onion
. 1 tomato
. 1 bay leaf
. 2 cinnamon
. 1/2 tspn fennel seeds
. 2 clove
. 2 cardoman
 . 3-4 garlic
. 2 red chilli
. Turmeric
. Salt
. 1/2 tblspn chilli powder
. 2 tblspn oil


Method :

Step 1
. Dry roast green gram in a pan

Step 2
. Soak rice & green gram in water for 10 min



Step 2

. In a pressure cooker and oil, bay leaf, cinnamon, clove & cardomon


Step 3
. Add garlic, red chilli & curry leaves& sliced onion



Step 4
. Add tomatoes saute well..


Step5
. Add turmeric, chilli powder & salt


Step 6
. Cover & cook for 2 mins

Step 7
. Add soaked rice & green gram...



Step 8
. Add 4 cups of water and let it boil...


Step 9
. Cover & allow 3 whistles...



Step 10
. Delicious super fast & easy green gram rice ready...
