Green Gram Dhall makhani - Dhall makhani - Indian curry

Hi..!!


Dhall makhani, is an North Indian curry.. very delicious, rich in protein and easy to make..

Dhall makhani is a normaly made with black urud dhall & Rajma ..

Here is a twist of taste, Dhall makhani with Green gram..

Dhall is nothing but pulses..
Boiling both green gram & rajma and mix ing it with onions & tomato with some Indian spices..
Toping with homemade butter/ ghee & generous amount of Fresh cream..

Tastes yummlicious...

Prep time : 10 mins
Cooking time: 20 mins


Ingredients :

. Green gram 1 cup
 . Rajma 2-3 tblspn
. Finely chopped onion : 3
. Finely chopped tomatoes : 3
. Ginger garlic paste : 2 tblspn
. Bay leaf 1
. Turmeric
. Chilli powder 1 tblspn
. Coriander powder 2 tblspn
. Cumin powder 1/2 tblspn
. Butter : 2- 3 tblspn
. Salt
. Fresh cream : 2-3 tblspn
. Water


Method :

Step 1
. Dry roast green gram & rajma separately & soak it in the water overnight or 6-8 hrs


Step 2
. Transfer into a pressure cooker add 2-3 cups of water. Add salt & turmeric..



Step 3
. Allow 4-5 whistles..

Step 4
. In a kadai or wonk add 2 tblspn of ghee & add 1 bay leaf



Step 5
. Add onions saute for 3 min till the onions turns soft..


Step 6
. Add ginger garlic paste & tomato saute, cover & cook for 2 mins



Step 7

. Add boiled Dhall / pulses

Step 8

.  Add salt, turmeric, chilli, coriander & cumin and mix well..



Step 9
. Mix well, add 2 cup of water, simmer it & cover & cook for 5 mins



Step 10
. Make sure it not too watery or too thick...

Step 11
. Dilute 2 tblspn of fresh cream in 1/2 tblspn of water..
And pour over the curry..


Step 12
. Delicious Dhall makhani is ready to taste with white rice or any indian rotis..
