Spinach Paratha - Palak Paratha - kids tiffin box recipe

Spinach Paratha is a iron rich Paratha..
Healthy, and very easy to make ...

This is an interesting idea to give spinach to our kids...

* Course : main course
* Prep time : 5 mins
* Cooking time: 1-2 mins

Serve : 5-6 Paratha

Ingredients :
. Spinach : 1/2 kg
. Water : to boil
. Wheat flour : 2 cups
. Cumin : 1/2 tspn
. Fennel seeds : 1/2 tspn
. Ginger : 1/2 inch
. Green chilli : 2
. Turmeric powder : 3/4 tspn
. Ghee : 1/2 tblspn for each Paratha
. Salt : as required


Method :
Step 1
. Wash the spinach, take only the leave, discard the stem..

Step 2
. Heat water in a big utensil add 1/2 tspn salt let it boil, add the washed spinach leaves.. boil it for 3-4 mins...
Step 3
. Turn off the flame, strain the water, transfer the spinach leaves into a mixer jar , add green chillies, ginger, turmeric, salt.. grind it into a smooth paste...

Step 4
. Take a bowl, add wheat flour. Cumin , fennel seeds, and add in the spinach paste.
Step 5
. Knead it into smooth dough...
( Add warm water if required )

Step 6
. Take small piece of dough roll it flat..

Step 7
. Heat a tawa and ghee & cook the parath on both the side..


Delicious.. soft spinach parathas are ready...
