One pot sambar - south Indian curry / kulambu

Sambar is an south Indian curry,...
Made with Thoor Dhall, and with some veggies...

Best combination for dosa, rice, or idlly..

Ingredients:
. Thoor Dhall - 1 cup
. Onion - 1
. Tomato - 1
. Garlic - 5 clove
. Brinjal / egg plant - 1
. Curry leaves - few
. Mustard - 1/2 tspn
. Cumin - 1/2 tspn
. Pepper corns - 1/2 tspn
. Red chillies - 3
. Asfortida - 3/4 tspn
. Oil - 2 tblsp
. Turmeric - 1 tspn
. Chilli powder - 1/2 tspn
. Coriander powder - 1 tblspn
. Salt - as required
. Tamarind water - 1/2 cup
. Water - 3 cup

Method :
. Step 1
. Take thoor Dhall in a bowl soak for 10 mins..

. Take a pressure cooker, add oil, add Mustard, cumin, crushed garlic, curry leaves, Red chillies.. saute for 2 mins

Step 2
. Add onion, tomato saute till it gets soft..
Add brinjals or any veggies of your choice..

Step 3
. Add thoor Dhall, salt, turmeric, chilli powder, coriander powder ... Mix well

Step 4
. Add water and Tamarind water...
Close the cooker and allow 3-4 whistles..

Step 5
. Spicy one pot sambar is ready...
