Home made food colour - Burgundy colour - No preservative

Hi there...




When talking about food colour I am really worried to add in any recipe.. because of the chemical  pigment... & Preservative it contains..

Here is a natural Home made food colour...

Ingredients :

. Beetroot : 2

. Shelf life : 4- 5 months
. Fridge life : 6-8 months


Procedure :

Step 1
. Peal the outer skin of the beetroot... Grate it...
( I have grated it in good processor)


Step 2
. Spread it over a steel plate..
( Do not use cloth or plastic place all the colour will be absorbed)

Step 3
. Sun dry it for 2 days

Step 4
. After 2 days trasfer it into a dry mixer jar.. grind it into fine powder...


Step 5
. Homemade Burgundy food colour is ready to use in any dish..

How to use :

Step 1
. Take warm water add 1/8  of beetroot powder and mix til it releases colour..

. The colour can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the water level..
