If your are bored to taste idly with sambar and chutney..
This quick recipe will give an intresting flavours and instant to make..
This can made with left over idlies or when idlies cool down to room temperature..
Ingredients :
. Idly : 5
. Onion : 1
. Tomato : 2
. Ginger garlic paste: 1 tspn
. Turmeric powder : 1/2tspn
. Chilli powder : 1tspn
. Salt - to taste
. Cinnamon : 1/2 inch
. Clove : 2
. Cardamon : 1
. Curry leaves : few
. Fennel seeds : 1/2 tspn
. Oil - 1tbspn
. Water : 3tblspn
Serve : 1bowl
Method :
Step 1
. Chop idlies, onion, and tomato
Step 2
. Heat a pan, add oil, add cinnamon, clove, cardamon, curry leaves. Fennel seed saute fo a minute..
Step 3
. Add chopped onions & tomato, & ginger tillgatlic paste saute till it gets soft..
. Add turmeric, chilli powder. And salt.. mix well.. cook for 3-4min..
Step 4
. Add water.. alow it to boil.. add in the chopped idlies... Cover and cook for a min.. once excess water is absorbed..
Masala idly is ready..
